Directed by Charles Vidor, and featuring a strong supporting cast including Paul Muni and Nina Foch, this drama was nominated for six Academy Awards, for editing, cinematography, score (Miklos Rozsa and Morris Stoloff), sound, original screenplay and Best Actor for Cornel Wilde.
