From acclaimed French filmmaker Just Jaeckin--whose iconic works include Emmanuelle, The Story of O, and Madame Claude--comes Girls, a sensual and emotionally resonant coming-of-age story that defined a generation. Set against the vibrant nightlife of early 1980s France, the film follows three teenage friends--Suzanne (Charlotte Walior), Annie (Zoé Chauveau), and Catherine (Anne Parillaud, later of La Femme Nikita)--as they drift through discos, cinemas, and romantic encounters in search of excitement and identity. Their carefree adventures take a more serious turn when Suzanne's younger sister Betty (Isabelle Mejias) begins to imitate their behavior, unaware of the adult consequences that await.

Jaeckin, known for his lush visual style and empathetic treatment of female characters, transforms this story of youth and freedom into a poignant exploration of innocence and awakening. The disc includes a newly recorded commentary by film historian Jeremy Richey, the essay "Who Is Just Jaeckin?", Jaeckin's final filmed interview from 2022, a new interview with actress Isabelle Mejias, and archival television footage featuring Jaeckin and his stars. Also included are the alternate German cut and theatrical trailers.

A lost gem rediscovered, Girls stands alongside Little Darlings and Foxes as one of the definitive portraits of teenage friendship, longing, and self-discovery.
