Three-time Golden Globe nominee Treat Williams of HAIR and PRINCE OF THE CITY fame took the Italian Sharksploitation plunge in this “insane and weirdly good-natured” (Oh, The Horror!) action thriller, now officially licensed on North American disc for the first time ever: Life in a quiet Mexican fishing village is ripped to pieces when a laidback guide (Williams) and his business partner (Blaxploitation legend Antonio Fargas) become entangled with international assassins, $2 million in diamonds and a local shark named Cyclops with an insatiable hunger for foolish divers. John Steiner (CALIGULA), Janet Agren (EATEN ALIVE) and Christopher Connelly (RAIDERS OF ATLANTIS) in his final film role co-star in this “unique and fun” (DTV Connoisseur) obscurity directed by Tonino Ricci (CAVE OF THE SHARKS) from a screenplay by Tito Carpi (TENTACLES) with jaw-dropping man vs. shark stunts by Ramón Bravo (ZOMBIE) and a deliriously ‘80s synth score by Stelvio Cipriani (THE GREAT ALLIGATOR), now scanned in 4K from the original camera negative and featuring a Bonus Soundtrack CD.
