Moving is never easy, and as a fifth grader from Tokyo, Hotaru has lots of adjustments to make after her father’s job transfers them to a small town in the rural countryside. Having to travel to neighboring towns just to buy comics or videos would be culture shock enough, but her school has only one boy and three other girls. Not in her class, in the whole school!
